Implement a scanner/computer "bay" or dedicated ship computer core module please

Hi,

I've long hoped that Frontier a some point would realise that some of the scanners and the docking computer should have their own unike slots or simply be implemented by default (like the planetary approach suite) - perhaps they should all be included in one module (ship computer - both scanners, docking computer and planatary approach suit merged into 1 computer and 1 dedicated slot).

I wouldn't mind an upgradeable ship computer (E to A grade) that than would add more functionllaty like E to C grade scanner and perhaps include more and more surface details like they are currently adding (as per newsletter 134) or even improve jump range or something similar. I understand that they intend you to "spec" with respect to what you indend to do with your ship, but I think it should be more uniform - I simply don't see how I "win" over an explorer by haveing both scanners implemented/equipped by default without scarifising some internal slots - an explorer would bennefit from this as well as they would have room for extra internal modules as well.
A second option would be for Frontier to add a computer bay (like the planetary vehicle bay) - a computer bay fitted in a 2-slot would accomodate both scanners and a 3-slot bay would accomodate both scanners and the docking computer - that way I scarifice a 2 or 3 internal slot but it is seperated into 2 or 3 1-slot internal slots dedicated to scanners and docking computers (perhaps include the planatary approach suite as well as it seems odd it currently has its own slot).

I personally would love to see this implemented - especially considering the latest and upcomming changes - it makes more and more sense to have scanners etc. equipped (like with the planatary approach suit) all the time.

On a side note I would also like to see the kill-warrent and cargo scanners merged into 1 a some point (a ship scanner) - again it simply seems more logic to me that you have a scanner that does both.

So your idea is to make the game Bland and boring. Listen. Frontier want us to look at a ship and make it our own. Your idea would make the Sidewinder the Best Explorer ship. It cheap it can go a nice distance with Engineer upgrades. You just killed the life of the game with your idea. That just with your first idea.

I would like to point out the Diamondback explorer. When Horizon came out. People had a fit because it was not the Op ship of Elite Dangerous. The Devs posted. Each ship has it pros and cons. you have to deal with it. You have to think on what you want to sacrifice to make that ship your own. Remember that word Sacrifice.

Maybe you should listen to the Rolling Stone song. You can't always get what you want

Um - thanks for your direct feedback, but I actually dont see how I'm making the game bland and boring.
Your comment is a bit black and white to me - please elaborate a bit as to what you mean by my idear immedialy making the game bland and boring?

As I've stated above I understand the consept they are going for by forcing you to "spec" towards a specific build, but would you suggest that; the fact they have already added the planetary apporach suit by default makes the game boring as (if I primariy use a fighter) I don't need it or should have to "re-spec" my ship should I feel the need to land on a planet?
I simply think that some features should be more avaliable to players to add to the fun and gameplay (rahter that make it bland and boring).

Maybe next time you should account for ship size with you posted your idea. See Frontier made the game where the user has to Sacrifice one modules for another with smaller combat ships. Yes they can be bad to the bone fighting ships and they can make money really fast. But doing some quests. They are not so good. That why there 30 ships a player can use.
