IMPORTANT / BASIC IMPROVEMENTS JWE2 2024

His! this is a list of important "must have" improvments for jw2 this year.
Some of then should be in game for AGES so, ideas for the next update!

  • Gates can conect with aviaries! With this change, we could build dinosaur paddocks and aviaries close to each other and spare map space. with this change, we can make park tours that passes trough an aviary, then after a paddock, without so many connection gates. plus, this will allow a big aesthetic possibility for parks!
  • New aviary gate! this new gate, can be placeble in our aviarys, as the fence gate. then, openning then, all pterosaur sinside the aviary can be release in the park. this new update will make the bug of flying reptiles realased in the hatchery unecessary.
  • Paths can create a guest gate trough fences! this awesome feature will allow players to build pathways tha can enter inside paddocks, without allowing dinosaurs to get out of then. This feature will also allow players to create "maintence paddocks" that can be only accessed for guests and are isoleted to te rest of the park.
  • adjustment for "site b" parks - compys! When you create a "site b" park (with loose creatures living together) and add compys in the park, they really need feeders, even if you dont whats to build then. they are dependents of park feeders and without then, the compy population starts to starve! they are always in panic or the others chosen species cant be killed by then. So a great adjustment for the game would be the possibility for then to feed of insects in the wild or something else.
  • adjustment for "site b" parks - PISCIVORES! same as the compys, this creatures in site br style parks are are dependents of park feeders. they should feed on "wild fish" in lakes.
  • "Cosmetic damage" applyed to all gates! in demolish mode, the cosmetic damage should be applyed to gates, so players can create a more realistic "abandoned park"
  • Guests interect with trash cans, benches! guests should sit in benches and use trash cans (new animations)
  • Guests "peacefull" animations with small herbivores! once they meet each other, guests can pet (or try) small herbivore dinosaurs (oviraptor, lystrosaurus, dryosaurus, homalos, moros, sinosauros, gallis, archaeo and struthi) new unic animations.
  • New unic social animations for flying reptiles! Well, self explanatory haha
  • Fog "wave" added to "tropical" biome (nublar and sorna)! as in movies, the tropical biome will have dense fog waves. this update adds more realism and aesthetic possibilities for the game.
  • New "skin feature" in park tours! possibility of change the car in park tours. this allow players to use "jeeps" in park tours, instead of the explorers. with this change, we can create realistic and funccional maintence roads in the park, connecting park seccions!
  • New animation: brachiosaurus standing in two legs ( jurassic park nostalgia animation)
  • New animation: dilophosaurus spitting venom in live prey, cars and prey dinosaurs!
  • Gigantoraptor hunting animations! (kill animations for small herbivores)

I would like to see improvements in the dinosaur cohabitation element as the official Germany challenge mode in Jurassic difficulty is not working:

  • Homalocephale having the same cohabitation preferences as ornithomimids
  • Combat-capable pachycephalosaurids can mutually cohabit with ornithomimids, hadrosaurs, and ceratopsids, but remain neutral with stegosaurids
  • Torosaurus and Triceratops can mutually cohabit
  • Apatosaurus and Camarasaurus can mutually cohabit
  • Diplodocus can mutually cohabit with Camarasaurus, Apatosaurus, and Brachiosaurus

Some extra upgrades I would like to get for JWE II in 2024.
  • Rangers in jeeps of JP timeline should at least in Sandbox get ALL rifle Dart , so they can tranque Dinosaurs
  • Gates of Aviarys let all Pterosaurs out AND every Dinosaur and Jeep in the Aviary !
  • FPV-mode should use a Ranger/scientist ( F/M) as Avatar ....so that Dinosaurs can interact with us like with visitors! ( we should get Flares and tranqhe rifles for defence)
  • Dinosaurs in Aviary should get sound TOO !
  • Meat Feeders should work in Aviary .
  • Aviary Drone should at least in Sandbox be able to fly outside the aviaries ;) !
  • Pease !!!! give us the option to hide UI when watching/following one specific Dinosaur !
  • Please give us the Option to Hide UI when driving an Vehicle ( Jeeps, Gyrospheres, Trucks etc. ) at least when driving in FPV mode .
  • Now that we have an inside view of the Helis ( IN CINEMODE) give us the option to use it like in jeeps and Gyros when driving/flying in FPV !
  • At least ONE Kelpplant grown from botom of the lagoon to the watersurface as Placeable obect !
  • "smoke" of the underwatersmokers shoul go much higher underwater .....Would look more spooky.

compys are scavengers, so they would eat another dinosaur's kill, like a dead herbivore that a trex killed.
 
One Thing for Sandbox and Side B Parks we would need that we don´t need to build so many Meat featers and Fishfeeders....
1. ) All Animals using the feeders ( Meat, Shark, insect and fishfeeders) and hunting fish and Goats even when " no starving for all animals" is on !!!!

Why i would want that feature ? Because often carnivores and piscivores don´t find the feeders and starve to death when we have big open side B parks !!!

I like to watch my Parks in "Moviemode" , rainstorm at night or day ...but ...
a) .....either I go for save and use " no starving for all Animals" .....than there is no hunting and eating or using the sharkfeeder .....but no animal dies, or....
B) ..... I risk it and use " No Starving only for Herbivores" and have more action to view, but some Animals starve to death because they don´t find the feeders!
(especially on maps with canyons etc.....)

The game needs as many attractions as possible. A river cruise being one of the most requested.

The game needs more buildings. Reskins to make at least one more new set of buildings. Maybe even using old buildings from the last game. For example the hotel and greenhouse from JWE.

More decorations. Reskins of the JP30 decorations. The return of JWE decorations such as the RTJP signs and the big tree.

Even though I personally don't like the hybrids, it is highly requested, so bring them back in an update.

If making a new map is unrealistic for Frontier, what if one of the JWE maps made a return.

As for game play I think Triceratops and Torosaurus should be able to have cohabitation.

People should be seen using the benches, tables, throwing away trash. If that is not possible, what if in areas that have the biggest crowds, random trash appears on paths. A way to deal with it, place trash bins in those areas.

Vehicles should drive only on staff paths. It's unrealistic to see jeeps plowing into guests every time they have to get from one point to another. If the staff vehicles do injure guests, it should create a penalty. The guest could sue the park. And the money comes out of the parks earnings. It also would effect the popularity of the park and guest happiness.

I would love to Have the nice Maps with waterfall and Big Lake/Bay in expanded version where we can use it for natural Lagoon !!!
 
When making a park I develop OCD and like to make it tidy. I would like to have information when building, such as how long the fence or path you're building is and how many degrees are in the turn. This way you could build a paddock and have each segment be equal.

When you place down a path or fence a distance meter could appear underneath the price meter. When connecting a new segment a meter that shows how many degrees off center you are from the last path allowing you to make clean geometric shapes. This could also work when curving the paths and fences too.

The meter could also show on terrain manipulation showing how high you've mad a hill or mountain.

I would also like for buildings to be able to snap together as well as be placed directly onto the paths. And for the amenities to have a random configuration when placed.

And once a paddock is completed selecting the first gate placed can give all information on the paddock such as the area size, how much is forested or how much waters is in the paddock, allowing for easier planning for specific species. The information could also show how many dinosaurs are within the paddock.

Paths should have a small sightline into paddocks. If guests can see dinosaurs that have escaped why can't they see them through the chainlinks and bars of the low level fences?

There should be decorative fences such as rope, picket, trellis or hedge fences in the guest category allowing you to make new sections to your park. And these fences should be able to go on the paths.

Finally custom signs should be an option. They could have an image taken by the ranger teams or a jurassic park style skeleton of the species you want to showcase. You should also be able to type upto a character limit what you want the sign to say whether it's a specific dinosaurs name or a new area for the park. The name you typed would then appear on the sign in the jurassic park font.
 
I'm all for custom signs. If need be there would be a limit as to what you could place on the sign, but at least having that option would be a great improvement.
 
I just like the idea that when you go to zoos, they have sections like African Kingdom or Desert Domains, (I don't know if any zoo has sections named those, they're off the top of my head). I just like to make areas themed such as feathered dinosaurs in one area, big attractions in another, tour areas and so on. I'd like to fence them off, connect the jurassic park gate and edit the sign to say something Feathered Kingdom, The Big Five or Oceanic Tyrants.
Whether it's specific species or biomes I like making themed sections. I used to do the same on the old Zoo Tycoon games when I was a kid.

I think we need to be able to search then click on genomes and then still
Be on the dinosaur we searched
 
Some other things I just thought of, ranger posts shouldn't take up task slots and any damaged buildings or fences in their radius should be added to the ranger teams tasks.
 
For signs as an easy way to get more, using all the existing signs in the game.
The remaining RTJP signs.
All amenities signs from the current game.
The DFW sign as a placeable sign.
A Biosyn sign.
Reskined JP30 decorations put in the JW era style.

Also use every item on the side of all buildings that could work as gates, fences, decorations and make them individually placeable decorations. The vending machine being an example. There also are light posts on the JW Epidition center that could be used like decorative light posts.
