IMPORTANT Corrupt save game BUG.

Yes its happened, there's a corrupt save game bug during a Hyper space jump crash...

After reporting the crash to Sony (usual procedure) you run elite again and when selecting a game mode, you get the corrupt file error...
It then requests that you delete the corrupted save file, DO NOT DO THIS...

Cancel the request, click start but go into a different game mode...(ie) if in solo choose open and vice-versa...
If you try and enter the same mode it will not load...
Once your back in, you would have lost all control bindings but nothing else...
If you choose to delete the save game, you will loose all progression and be back to square 1 (brand new game)...

Thanks for that. I thought all our saved data was only on the Frontier servers, I guess that's not the case then. I'll be wary of that.

YMMV I guess. Crashed coming out of hyperspace and got the corrupted file. Deleted the file and started the game and was right where I crashed out at.

The keybinding thing is a real er though... especially if you rekeyed almost all the defaults on the HOTAS. Christ that took 20 minutes just to configure again.

Happened once to me, the first and only time I've been destroyed. Coming out of hyper put me too close to the sun for my stock sidney to escape from. Now as a precaution, I hold the stick all the way back so when I drop out, I immediately rotate, thus avoiding the possibilty again.
