Important Thargoid Lead

I still consider myself new to Elite Dangerous. I've only been playing for a month or two on PS4. Can't do all the things that some of you can. Just recently got a Python (and don't like it).
Anyway, I followed a lead from an "ObsidianAnt" YouTube video and went to HIP 17125. Ran into my first Thargoids (who looked like they were desperately looking for something). Also found a megaship (research vessel) and downloaded the ship log. The captain mentioned finding something big in the Aries Dark Region (specific star system also in log), but they were attacked by military officials. I think the military has something the Thargoids are looking for. Headed now for the Aries Dark Region.

Many of you may already know this. I just thought it was worth making my first post.

Welcome!

Re. your Python. I bought and sold 2 before finally getting the one I have now, which I view as one of my favourite and most useful ships.

TBH and others may not share this opinion - it sucks without A rated modules and engineering. If you've got the money and like engineers then it's a winner, otherwise - meh!

Oh yes, without A-rated modules and at least G4 Dirty Drives it's a difficult one to use effectively in combat. As a medium landing pad trading ship however, it shines. Once it has some decent engineering, it's a lovely all-rounder for things to do in the bubble. I love mine. :D

Still every one of us has different preferences in flying ships and despite the pros, one may still not like it. Absolutely fine. :)

Oh yes, I put a lot of miles on mine running, er well "transporting" indentured personnel, from Robigo, waaaay back in the day! Only armed with a single turreted pulse laser to break a cops scan.
Now my Py is totally unarmed, light as hell and an excellent non-combat mission runner.
