Imposible to play with downvolted CPU

Hey,
I have undervolted CPU, it is undervolted correctly, ran thru Prime95 test and a lot of hours of gaming and rendering without problem. But when I try to play Planet Zoo I am not able to play it longer that few minutes, then Planet Zoo crashes. When I denied undervoltage I played 3 hours without single crash. It would be great if this problem will be solved. Thank You!

Yes. I have i7-6700HQ and I am running AAA games on Ultra settings without any problem. CPU runs at 3,24GHz so there can't be problem with my cpu performance.

Don't compare this game with your regular "AAA" games in terms of performance.

That is the first mistake most people make.

With and without undervolting it's still using 83-85% of my CPU on ultra setting.. It isn't caused by performance of my undervolted CPU. It must be something in the game that doesn't like that fact, that it is undervolted.

An undervolted CPU is operating outwith normal specifications - the game doesn't know if the CPU is overclocked / underclocked / overvoltage / undervoltage.

It sounds like the undervolting has gone too far for the CPU to be able to remain completely operable at all loads.

If the CPU won't be able to remain completely operable at all loads Prime95 will detect it. It will crash or Prime95 will pop-up error message while testing. Or?
Like I have there -0,180 V. My CPU is according to Prime95 testing stable to -0,225 V. But game crashes nomatter how much it is undervolted. I tried from -0,010 V to -0,225 V but still the same. Prime95 without errors and crashes, games on ultra without problem, render without problem only Planet Zoo is crashing after few minutes and it doesnt matter if I am building something or just watching empty area in sandbox mode.

Does Prime95 stress all instruction sets that the CPU offers? If it does not then it is possible that part of the CPU dedicated to a newer instruction set (that was introduced after Prime95 was written) won't be stressed by Prime95 but may be used by the game.

Yeah it should stress all instruction sets. I have just made one hour long test with Prime95 with -0.200 V and everything working fine like it should and results of the test are also fine.

Which version number of Prime95 are you using?

Also, which GPU are you using and is it set to stock voltages / frequencies?

Check in event viewer it may help shine some light on what is failing.

The game does not care if your undervolting, stock or overvolting/overclocking, However your CPU/memory does running prime is a good indicator but you can still have issues there is no perfect stress tester. You have found a stability issue make your adjustments and retest.
