Like many others, Odyssey VR performance on my rig is firmly stuck at 45fps with ASW on at all times, however, my GPU was running at about 50% capacity (because of the ASW kicking in).
Therefore I thought it couldn't hurt to move the terrain slide up a bit to see if it would use the spare cycles of the GPU to help with the planets and I think it does.
I have only moved it about a third from the left, but even though I am still stuck at 45fps, planet terrain is better and I was able to up the terrain quality a notch without a noticeable performance hit.
GPU use is now about 70% on planets
Just though this might help someone else until FD properly optimise this thing.
