Improvement of aesthetics with tactical effects

Day 4 and I have witnessed some spectacular views.

Alot of people saying it's samey, planets, astroids, suns n stations. I agree to a certain extent and will come onto that in a moment.

With the repetativeness aside the beauty can be seen in a combination of bodies and events. The best one for me was a ring station orbiting a giant Mars like planet with both day / darksides in view, the sun tucked behind the station with gold rays around it like the silverlining of a cloud. As I bear over the top of the station the sun rising explodes into view :).

So having said that, I feel there is room for improvement....

- Nebulea: both distant and fly through. Space back drop is samey and bland, you have foreground, background no mid-ground. Dust clouds, nubules, commets would all look fantastic.

- Other anomalies with physical effects and combat changing roles such as:

- Plasma storms: could affect shield regen or completely remove shields allowing for a different style of combat. (Also an aesthetic addition)

- Ion storms: affects scanners and certain weapon types or system functions. (Also an aesthetic addition)

- Comets: Now I know I'm not the only one who mistook a drop from hyperspace as a comet and thought wow. How about comets that leave fake residual wakes? (Also an aesthetic addition)

- Astroid caves: These could be safe cargo dumping grounds or ambush points. Inside could be crystal / ice structures (you guessed it more aesthetics)

- Radiation clouds: Limited loiter time.


- Black holes causing all signal loss as it sucks everything beyond the Event Horizon

- Dust clouds

- Newly forming planets of dust, ice and metals.

- Broken worlds from collisions / Remains from suns gone Super nova

- Different factional station designs (you only have to look at historical stations to see the unique designs between Russia, China, USA.

- Abandon ancient structures, Drifting ships / Hulks with possible valuables on board once you breach the hold. Or where you can skillfully park up an eagle inside and go silent waiting for an easy target. (This will give caution and excitment for both miner, salvager and ambusher which is key to a game like this :) :) :)

I could go on and on but you get the picture, all these will enhance the already great space scenery but also add a little spice to the flavour of gameplay.
