Improvements for immersion (buildings, vehicles, mechanics) and other features

First, I absolutely love the game. I've had a blast with it just like the original. The improvements to dinosaurs alone makes it worth it for me.

One of the things I love about JWE1 and JWE2 is that you're not just building a dinosaur park, you're also managing and maintaining it, and that takes infrastructure and resources, and those take up space. As someone really into that side of things, this was one of the major selling points for me. The fact that JWE2 expanded on this in some ways is great. In later patches in JWE1, a lot of character items were added to the game to make the experience a lot more visually deeper, and I really hope that continues in this game. And while a lot of things I feel were done well, there are things I think that could be improved upon or added to make the experience better. The attention to little details present in the two games is a great touch and a lot of these expand on that.

  • Maps. Bigger maps. And bring back the JWE1 maps for sandbox. And make the campaign maps available in sandbox. MAPS.
  • Visitor Center and Control Center in JP era - Please, please, please either give us a path snap point at the base of the visitor center/control center stairs in the JP era. I understand that guests in this game can't climb stairs, but even then, just having a path snap, even if it's not used, is better than having the grand stairs oddly disconnected from everything around them. This just looks weird. Given the similar designs, and seeing as though the Control Center was used heavily in marketing for the San Diego chaos theory mode, making it seem like a modernized version of the visitor center, perhaps just make both building serve both functions, or make both buildings visitor centers and provide another building as the JP-era control center.
  • Bring back props, miscellaneous items, and such from JWE1, and add more. Things like the toilet hut, additional missing sign posts/enclosure labels, etc. - just allow these things to be placed about like in the first game to add flair to the parks. Consider additional items like small sheds, outbuildings, even small bunker access buildings that could be placed in enclosures and/or along paths. These things were present in the movies and would make for a nice added touch.
  • The raptor pen: Even as a decorative item, please bring this prop back. As a gameplay device, it could double as a ranger station and be allowed to be placed in the middle of a larger enclosure, or it could be integrated with a fence and used as a secondary viewing gallery. We could even use it to "house" raptors, perhaps, and have it connected to a larger paddock? Just some thoughts as to how to give it some use if it's not just decorative.
  • A Logistics Center. Some of the micromanagement gets a bit tedious (such as refilling generators, for example) and I'm thankful that rangers now refill feeders automatically. But consider that transport helicopters are used all the time but arrive and leave from off-map, and refilling supplies is just a button press. What if there was a Logistics Center that had a few helipads for the yellow skycrane helicopters, and a set of generic logistics vehicles, such as a box truck/van and a tanker truck, to go around and automate some of the other tasks as well? It would require the initial and ongoing investment and planning, but like other upgrades, could streamline the process, and add a bit of immersion to the game. It could also be used to repair damaged vehicles.
  • Helicopters - more dynamic. In JWE1, there were more helicopter types it seems, and they were constantly coming and going on the map for guest arrivals/departures and would leave during expeditions. Bring this behavior back, and consider using a different helicopter type for guest transport than is used for transporting small dinosaurs or used by the capture team.
  • Provide the JWE1 aviary exclusive to the JP era. This design paid great homage to the movies, and I especially loved that it even had a small ground level exit gate like in JP3. These little details make a huge difference.
  • Guest-generating buildings from JWE1 (Science Center, Security Center - satisfied needs for specific guest types). These might be in but as I haven't 100% completed the tech tree, I didn't yet see them. I hope these made a comeback, and if not, I hope they do. They made building the infrastructure-focused parts of the parks more believable. The security center especially was awesome, with the huge bunker doors.
  • More fences. A smaller fence for the compsognathus for example, rather than having a towering fence with gaps big enough for them to fit through.
  • Path gates in fences. One of the things I've seen a lot of people who do awesome park builds do is use fences to separate parts of their parks. Staff-only buildings could be sectioned off behind fences with smaller gates for paths, for example. Players could set access restrictions. One of the things I liked to do in the original game was set a ranger station in the middle of the larger open areas, but it required a path connecting all the way to it. Putting a fence across the path with a locked gate would help allow that to happen without having random guests wandering a mile away from the rest of the park along the path.
  • Jeep and Ford Explorer for JP era. I know that licensing isn't a cut and dry thing, but it's odd that the Wrangler and Explorers were accurate in the first game, but not in the sequel.
  • Missing hybrids. Maybe bring these back? I know not everyone was a fan, but not everyone needs to use them?
Just some thoughts. With how much the first game improved over its lifetime and with Dominion eventually on its way, I'm sure a lot of things will be changed anyway, but just wanted to put some of these down in words.
