I've been running missions for stations that are aligned to the Alliance, I've done quite a few rep missions where you fetch and donate non lethal weapons etc and I've become friendly with a few stations in 2 different systems but I'm still neutral with the Alliance, does it just take time to become friendly with a whole faction or does it not work that way.
Also concerning the military missions for Feds and Empire, would getting high in the military career path also increase my standing with the base factions, and I'm guessing that once I'm doing very well with 1 of the factions would I become unfriendly with another. I read in a wiki that the Feds tolerate the Alliance so once I'm really friendly with the Alliance would I still be ok to visit Fed systems and dock at their stations in safety.
