Improving Trade Gameplay

I know this is in the common suggestions thread, but it would be a shame to have this overlooked.

In the year 3000, why can't my ship computer store the Commodities Market pricing information for systems I've docked in? We can travel faster than lightspeed, but we can't provide ourselves with basic functions that Google can do today?

Clearly there's a desire to have better access to commodity pricing, as websites have been springing up to provide this info. What is the gameplay reason that our ship can't keep a record of the prices at Cheve Hub (for example), as of the last time we visited that station? Clearly prices can change based on market movements, but we should at least be able to see what the last known price of a good was.

Allowing retention of pricing data for locations you have physically docked with would enhance the trading aspect of the game. It would also open up the possibility of buying market information from other players, and could even lead to other mission types in the future.

It does not enhance gameplay to require pencil and paper, or taking snapshots with your cellphone, to overcome an encumbering system like we currently have. That makes trading tedious - not better.

The second suggestion I have is to be able to easily go in and out of system detail from the galaxy map. Currently, when you enter the System details from the Galaxy map, there's no way to back out and see where you were just looking a moment ago. Why? If I want to see the system detail of Eravate, and I subsequently back out of Eravate's System Map, why doesn't my galaxy map come back up, with Eravate still selected?
