So since planets are getting buffed and looking great from the video at FX17, can we get more planetary navigation tools as well please? Reason I ask it I think there could be some great emergent gameplay to be had in the form of surface racing facilitated through planetary waypoints and there could be ship and SRV racing.

That would be nice. Given what they've said about mining and exploration I'm hoping that they'll be areas of planets that are of interest that can be discovered and bookmarked.
It would be handy if you could pick coordinates and the space compass points you that way.
