General / Off-Topic In California, grandpa's ashes were in the cookies

American schoolgirl claims to have made cookies by incorporating her grandfather's ashes into the recipe before being served them to classmates, the police said on Wednesday.

Some students did not know the presence of human ashes in the sugar cookies ...

... but others "were warned and consumed them all the same"

Forever more, those kids are cannibals, no matter how you look at it.

What a time to be alive!

Odds of ashes from a creamated corpse causing any actual illness to anyone ingesting a small quantity is next to zero.

Odds of bad eggs, insufficient cooking time, poor hygiene, or post production contamination resulting in problems are much higher.

That most people would balk at the former without even considering the later is insanity.

So i wasnt eating someones grandma while eating these?

Now I feel cheated!

Who cares. The vast majority of the ashes are just burned wood anyway, only a minuscule part is eradicated human. 5/7, would eat again.

Depends on what you mean. There was no grandma in the cookies, in any case.

That's one way of doing it. Ingesting your ancestors has been a very important thing throughout history...

Surely not as bad as Kentucky Fried Cockroaches (what do you think the C stands for?).
