JWE is a beautifully crafted game with the most detailed environments and dinosaurs to date. The music is awesome (includes original Jurassic Park songs) and it has top notch sound effects. Multiple movie characters are included in-game as well. It's a true homage to the Jurassic World franchise.
If Frontier wants to be a triple A developer like Blizzard Entertainment then it should release games when it's ready with enough depth, rather than release it early to meet a deadline. That's what separates top game developers like Blizzard from all the rest. I assume Universal Studios gave Frontier a fixed deadline to release the game to coincide with the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom movie. They had a tight schedule and some people's expectations were unrealistic.
So it's already a good dinosaur park game imo. Is this game shallow? Well JWE should have more customization options for the terrain, more decorations, more buildings, bigger parks, multiple animations per dinosaur, dino herding and deeper management options. However, it can become a true classic if Frontier adds free improvements and some paid expansions in the coming months and years. Given their track record with the long-term development of Elite Dangerous, I believe they will do just that.
