In-flight entertainment mod?

I was on youtube watching Scott Manleys latest video and he mentioned a script to add a Netflix display to the game.

Does anyone know about this or know of anyone working on this type of thing? I can't find much on google.

Any info would be appreciated.

You like those retro movies in 3302, huh? I much prefer the virtual entertainment pumped directly into my brain.

Remember when you had to have a implant in your brain to watch movies? Now, you just put on a coronal and it stimulates the synapses directly without the need for physical contact. My, how technology changes.

I use a small program called 'on top replica' to overlay videos or streams onto ED whenever I'm doing long exploration runs. It clones a window you choose in a small window of its own and keeps it always on top. You can overlay any window or part of the window by region selection. It's possible to drag and scale the window size and it has opacity options in increments of 25%. It also has click through (the window visible through the replica is receiving the mouse input) and click forwarding (the cloned window is the receiver of the mouse inputs) options.

The drawback is, the window is flat on your screen and it doesn't look like a part of your ship HUD. I would very much like a 3d version where I could sync it with mouse movement and position it so it would act like a part of my ship interface.

I just listen to radio. Much easier. Only tweaks needed are volumes in the mixer. :)
