In game another company advertising?...

Just looked it up, some guy's small personal 3D game project from Vancouver, right here where I live. I think it is ok to use your own company or name. We do it with our avatars to a degree, its not like he is spamming chat with links to his website etc. Think of the people that make a name for themselves on youtube or twitch; their avatar is their brand and a representation of themselves. It looks like this might be entirely run by one guy, so it makes sense the first thing to mind is his company. It worked too, I looked it up, found out it is close to me and now I know he exists. It is harmless self promotion as long as his name isn't "cash4gold.com$5perTon" etc.

Quite true. I also have no issue with this. It's not trying to directly sell something (especially credits) and you're right -- it's a personal identity. Perfectly valid for an avatar. People do make a bunch of YouTube videos and Twitch streams. I think it only makes sense and hopefully Frontier doesn't penalize for it. It's not like the ship says, "Star Citizen" on it =)

Not a case of worrying, Ok its free advertising for him.. while other companies would possibly pay ... which might cause a problem. I'm not thinking of the short term i`m thinking of the long term implications where the ships are ads (player and NPC) the docking outside and inside ads would be all you see, plus you pay to see all this in upgrades and add-ons.

There's no CMDR on its name - it's an NPC trader, they sit in Unknown Signal Sources offering to buy your cargo. They have to dock sometime ;)

When you get a mission to scare off traders, those are the guys.

You do know that there is a Levi-Strauss station? Its Near Sol. So I would not put it past them to have drummed up corporate sponsors.
