In-game gamma setting

Greetings,

I generally hate in-game gamma sliders (especially when they do not have numbers). I have gone through extensive calibration for my monitor, and have my settings where I find them most enjoyable. However, in ED, the colors look very washed-out (especially with the 2.0x update). Does anyone know which in-game gamma setting reflects my desktop gamma setting 1:1? Is there an in-game calibration screen/graphic to ensure that my blacks are spot-on without darkening my greys? This kind of thing is very important to me and the enjoyment of the experience, so any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Regards,

I also noticed this, but I'd like a bit of accuracy. It is rather hard to tell what is truly black in space.

As far as I know, the colour of space they are using I not black but a purpley colour so if you set it so that it is black then you will get inaccurate other colours. Try setting the gamma so that the other things look right like the planets or the farmland on the stations.

Has anyone else noticed the gamma function is a bit broken at the moment? I've darkened mine quite a bit (tend to play in a dark room and outer space tends to look a bit grey otherwise) but sometimes I find it seems to randomly revert to default.

Also, I wish the sliders in the options had a numerical indication, it'd make setting things up consistently a hell of a lot more straightforward.
