Can you leave messages to other commanders in game? I would like to be able to post a message to a Cmdr at their Fleet Carrier or possible to a system architect at a bill board. Or general messages to other Cmdr's like, Thanks for all the help with this star base. I am having trouble staying in touch with in game friends. This is more of a question but also a suggestion please make in game team, friend and general communication easier.

its a good suggestion imo.
Depends on how many insults, innuendoes and racist/sexist/political/religious/scam messages you enjoy filtering on a daily basis I guess.
Same would apply for all other ingame comms ... should we remove them for that reason?
Also player blocking and ingame profanity filter does exist
In game chat is temporary. Messages are persistent. It's a much more effective way to be antisocial.
You can sorta do this via squadron announcements if everyone is in the same squadron.
