Hello Commanders!
Do you have a music player in your car? It would be great to have it in your cockpit in Elite Dangerous too.
Trading and passenger missions will take so much time sometimes and how about in-game music and video player for listening you favorite music and watchig videos in small window.
Also its possible add an internet Radio and TV in the future.
This is something we all need, methinks. I'm on Xbox, but even the ability to control the various available background music players would be enough for me. If not through the HUD (though that would be awesome) then at least with media keyboard keys, or at very least letting us pause with the space bar. You can do that if you bring up the player in the sidebar, but obviously that isn't the same, and is a bit immersion breaking.
I need my nice relaxing
Hirakawachi 1-chome if I'm ever going to embark on the grand quest FOR THE MUG!
I know you have lots of more important things to do, but this is something that would be really good to contribute to the "lived in" feel that Elite seems to strive for.
Remember, even Zefram Cochrane had his stereo and his Magic Carpet Ride when he first embarked out into space to make First Contact.
It could even be an SMB/network player, as Xbox supports that too.
Also, while the option to simulate the acoustics of the cockpit would be cool, I would prefer that be optional. Simulated environmental effects can be very annoying to some of us with keen ears and who know how our music is supposed to sound. It's why I was forced to turn off Venue Mode in Rocksmith, because as you unlocked larger and larger concert halls, they kept applying more and more unnatural reverb....and when you do that to a live recording that already his its own environmental factors on the recording (reverb, crowd, etc), then it just sounds terrible
