In Game Time

Why is it one hour off for me? It makes the missions look either over or not enough time.

Wasn't like the before, game time and my computer time was the same.

Have you changed to BST?

The game time is tied to GMT and with the change to BST a week ago, there is now 1 hour difference between GMT and BST.

It's because your country has embraced the insidious evil that is Daylight Saving. In space, there is no daylight to save, and therefore the galaxy runs on UTC, not GMT.

OOC reason: computer systems that run on multiple timezones are difficult enough to manage, without arbitrarily changing the timezone at random intervals.

Those of us in Australia, America and elsewhere have had to get used to "game time" being utterly different from local time. Now it's your turn.

I can have up to +5 hours of difference in the game and local time. Not really an issue as I see it. you just need to have a local clock on you desk :D

Hoping that the upcoming in-cockpit clock will allow a display for local time. Been caught out a few times in the past week thinking that its only just midnight...

It's a bi-annual PITA that there's a 2 week difference between the clock changes in US & UK.
Thankfully we're back in line now.
