In-game ToDo List

I have to admit I am a 'lists' man. I have household lists at home on the backs of envelopes (yay recycling!) so I don't forget things I need to do, buy, repair, play etc.

It would be great if we could have some sort of similar personal journal or jotter in-game where we can write down ideas, plans, where we saw certain commodities cheap for sale, where to get good weapons... maybe even a wish list (D1sn3yl@nd Paris anyone? If they still have it in 3305, anyway )

It would also save me a lot of envelopes

I have my trusty steno pad and a sharp pencil next to my gaming rig at all times. Have you started an Inara account yet? There is the journal/diary section for personal logs relating to your experiences and a notes section you can jot down anything you might want to remember. Not what you'd call "in game" but I use Rainmeter Enigma Sidebar notes to generate an on screen to do list.

Handy for all/any to do including ED

But great suggestion, ED should have it's own internal ability to write notes.

Some third party tools can do stuff like this and even be controlled by ingame chat, since it pops up in the Journal Files for 3rd Party Tools to Read them out and act on them.

To have something integrated would be nice, +1 for this.

Sometimes I find myself planning out a complicated trade route on paper, and it would be good to be able to program my ship's computer to keep track of the waypoints instead (with optional custom text too).
