In-game top 100 leaderboard among Elite CMDRS

Top 100 leaderboard for each of type of Elite Commanders:

Combat: some set of PvP score, which is determined by how many Elite commanders you killed with regard to proportional cost of their loadout to yours.
Exploration: money made. I do not explore much. Feel free to suggest anything.
Trade: same as above.

And yes, rankings without any types of season division are flawed. But still, set of rulers to measure your.. skill are limited. PvP needs more to it.

Given that the game is not a competition, I think there are more... constructive uses for the finite amount of Dev time than a score board for a game most of us aren't playing.

Of course, all of developers attention should be directed to adding some decal you had always wanted.

But if seriosly, it is because they are underdeveloped and untied from in-game progress, little people play PP, MC and PvP, CqC included.
It does not mean that those features should not be developed further because no one plays them.

So, according to this logic, Frontier should develop a database application for managing your in-game goldfish collection, which no one has, because they should be devoting development time to things that no one uses?

Let me try to offer a numerical argument for you. There are approximately 2 MILLION accounts in the game and you are arguing in favor of a tool to flout a maximum of 300 users.

I think for Combat it would paint a target on players and force players into single player.

Now Exploration and would be easy to post pictures of System explored and the Most you made by Exploration and the total amount you made. The only thing I would suggest is Exploration trip counter. So you have Total explored and How many you explored per trip.

Now Trading. You can also post pictures of how much you trade you done.

No thanks, E:D is already to much unbalanced, to the advantage of the combat group.
This may be probably a good feature for CQC.

Or do you also want a List of the top 100 traders, miners, explorers, passenger taxis, ...

I'd say leaderboards for all stats and also not just the top 100. The stats are all recorded and stored in database tables anyway, so a view of that would be great for many top end players / Triple Elite like me.

It'd be a great way for people to focus on tasks whereas otherwise, it can be hard to find something to work towards. I've played for over 4,700 hours since beta and have 17 ships, all fully eng. I'm not in competition with anyone but like to benchmark how I'm doing :). If people don't like Leaderboards, they can always decide not to view them but for everyone else, there'd be the option.

Still a good point to the thread though. I saw the recent talk about Squadron Leaderboards and thought again about personal Leaderboards but you're right, I prob should've started a new thread!

Oh, I wasn't berating your or complaining - it was an attempt at teasing humour. I forgot to stick in a winking smiley though, sorry. :)
