In-game Training Videos are missing

Here's a post I made on Reddit. It is an request for confirmatory evidence to an issue concerning lack of in-game training videos. While it has been reported as a formal issue, I think it is worth posting here as well, as a less formal suggestion for improvement:

Already in 2001 this issue was reported to Frontier, but lapsed due to no confirmation.

In 2022 a similar issue (this time limited to SRV training videos) was posted. It got two confirmation. It lapsed due to insufficient confirmation in the allocated time frame.

And now with an influx of new and returning users, training videos are becoming increasingly important for players, and the lack of them will be part of how new players will see the game.

I'm posting a new issue on the old topic at Issue Tracker, and I'm eliciting user confirmations. Next time you start Elite Dangerous, instead of selecting 'Open' or 'Solo' or ..., select 'Training', then 'Training Videos' and then any of the three screens of training videos listed. Try any. If you don't get a to a training video or a helpful message, please add a confirmation to the issue I refer to below, with a note of what video (or even videos if you are a real masochist) you tried to access.

Please add confirmations or other comments at:

(This requires signing in to the Issue Tracker web page with your Frontier account details. )

Yep. The continued loss of these vids has me scratching my head about how serious they are about this game. Either remove the links if they consider the vids outdated or update them.

Are these what you are looking for. They are really REALLY old though...
No, I I am not looking for those. Those can, with some contortions be found on the help page I mention in the issue.

I'm sort of looking for all the others that are listed as being present. More precisely, I'm requesting Frontier to do something about the Training Videos section. For that, however, confirmation of the issue is required, and that needs to be provided by other users who agree that it is a problem. And that is what I'm really trying to do: to get the issue over the threshold for being noticed. A game that points out training videos, but do so by the equivalent of dead or moved links, and those dating back to pre-Odyssey dates ... <censured>. It needs to be fixed. Especially when new players are appearing daily.

Interesting! I also found these, another 10, slightly less old:

I imagine any fix for this issue would be to simply remove the mention of 26 videos and the "Play" button, which IMO would be a waste of FDEV's very finite developer resource at this point considering other things they could be working on.

In any case there are plenty of tutorials around. Elite Dangerous Mini-Tutorials has 30 very practical videos covering (mostly) basic elements of gameplay, for example.

That fix is one possible way of addressing the issue, and it has the benefit of removing misleading information that confuse those who look for training material, the absence of which may influence their perception of the game negatively. The disadvantage (that it requires development resources) is very small: all that is required is to blank out the 'Training Videos' button. No further changes are needed.

The correct measure for evaluating this is not the terms you suggest (that time and effort is taken from some other task) , but how many calls or other questions Frontier support gets concerning this question and how much free support the Elite Dangerous community provides ... considering other things they could be doing.

And a new player will discover that for himself, in the time it would have taken to reach a correctly linked video? No. Instead the new player (actually all new players looking for training info) is basically expected to start reserching on their own. If that is the answer, then the 'training videos' section could easily be replaced with 'See the Elite Forum for further advice.' Those new players surely also have other things the could be doing.
