In outfitting I would like to see displayed the internal ship modules, placed in the ship model.

Hi,

In outfitting I would like to see the ships internal modules displayed, the module highlighted.

this can be expanded to see your engineered modules which can look different for each upgrade.

I'd like to see engineered modules such as engines have a graphical change that you can see from the outside, I want chrome exhaust pipes down the side of my ship!

I feel the outfitting page has been forgotten about since launch.

But then we would know how the internal structure of the ship would look BEFORE we get the exciting grand reveal of how the ships look from like inside with the Ship-legs expansion.

Similarly, Damage report & module repairs in the helm panels and in the 3D model display showing the damaged modules.

I've been waiting on this since day 1, it's the only neg-point infraction I got on the forum as I called it Ship-p*rn, as to me that's what it is.

At the moment it would serve no other "purpose" other than the fulling the aesthetic rule of cool.
We see the map-pointer screens in sci-fi TV/Movies, we want it in our game, because it's cool. We love our ships, and are curious as to the inner-workings.

But it's does not fill a vital gameplay function until we can walk around and fix those modules manually, so my guestimation it will be postponed until it has more value to the player than just simple 'mersion.

I think this step would be necessary to map out the interior of the ships. may not need all the detail work the OP suggested but I bet it would reveal some ships have a lot of empty internal space for their size, while others couldn't possibly fit all its said to carry. I'd bet the t7 and t9 are empty while the viper m4 and krait m2 are over stuffed ie no space for walkways or a toilet.
