I think you have to be in supercruise. I am not 100% because I don't do those missions too often. They take too much time and doesn't give you enough rank and credits.

I believe you have to be in Supercruise.

these missions are still bugged though. 60% of the time the NPC will never arrive..

This will be fixed in 1.6..

Thanks everyone, i've done three of these missions but have only been successful once. What doesn't help is the mission saying 'Space' as the location, that to me says coming out of SC. I shall now avoid until 1.6.

I think sometimes if you jump out of the target system, then jump back this usually then makes the required NPC spawn. At least that worked for me the last time I did one of these missions.

I tried that this morning but to no avail. I've heard its worked for others though.
