Happened to me once. I was using the standard docking computer, and it rammed me into the front of the station 10m below the mail slot.

I think you mean my sightless, senseless, automated robot brain that I deigned to give control of my ship to for certain procedures is the bad flyer. Not me. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but the docking computer does all the work.
