In-Station Personal Storage?

Do we have any in-station storage we can use to store extra guns and other various items we wish to collect? I would like this if we can have it. And some sort of interface to see what items we have stored and what station they are stored in?
(something similar to EVE's Asset Management system)

to best of my knowledge there will be no storage of 'stuff'. Multiple ship ownership is confirmed but widgets restricted to what one can carry in a cargo hold.
 
Maybe this is better than free unlimited storage and will lead to less virtual hoarding :cool:

Considering that e.g. a Cobra can have different builds of weapons and gear depending on what you want to do it would at least make sense to be able to store weapons/gear IN THE SHIP, at the expense of cargo storage. This gives a natural limit to hoarding, and no need to sell/buy gear when you want to switch build/profile. Exactly like how most RPGs/MMOs handle inventory.

When buying stuff into an already filled slot you get the option to place existing gear into ship. From buy selection screen you can pick from station supplies or the ship. This means you still have to land to re-gear, so you can't switch in space. I would love to have mechanics like this!!!

I remember reading, in one of the Q&A's I think, that weapons as cargo is not going to be implemented.

Which is not what I'm suggesting. Having weapons be cargo implies buying/selling at markets etc. What I'm suggesting is that weapons can be stored in ship at expense of cargo, as a trade-off. They would still add to insurance cost, just not be currently equipped.

This sounds like a great solution to me :)
 
If in the selection screen you not only can select from currently stored weapons, but also from other currently equipped slots, then it solves the issue of moving guns around. I had two railguns on outer slots of Cobra, realized I cluldn't hit anything and wanted to move to central slots, but then had to sell and rebuy, with a big loss incurred. That scenario would be way easier with the above mechanics.
