Tonight at an Ariana Grande concert, an incident happened.

Reports of a "large bang", and Manchester Victoria's reporting blocked lines.

GM Police say there have been casualties.

Not much more in the way of details.

Also worth remembering that even amongst the chaos and tragedy, one of the first things that came out in response was the hashtag RoomsForManchester, for people offering to put up anyone unable to get home because of this nightmare. Then there are stories of people rushing to help others, let alone the emergency services who run towards things that almost everyone else runs away from. To quote from the wonderful book/movie The Martian...

Every human being has a basic instinct: to help each other out. If a hiker gets lost in the mountains, people will coordinate a search. If a train crashes, people will line up to give blood. If an earthquake levels a city, people all over the world will send emergency supplies. This is so fundamentally human that it's found in every culture without exception. Yes, there are who just don't care, but they're massively outnumbered by the people who do.

I've seen true horror, the sort of thing that can leave people cynical and bitter, but my sanity rests on the fact that I've seen much more kindness both to myself and others and a long time ago I came to the conclusion that we're fundamentally good. My heart goes out to the victims and their families.

:( Hard to say anything right now, what feels appropriate.

I can only say i feel sorry for the victims friends and families.

About the attack itself? I have the feeling these extremists don't feel hated enough yet. there can't be any other understandable reason for such attacks. They want to be hated, and hunted.

It is a suicide attack. The author of the attack of Manchester died, by exploding himself, says the British police.

"It is an act of barbarism", said the mayor of the city of Manchester, who "condemns an attack that targeted families and children" ---- Yes and this concert hall is known for receiving many children and teenagers ...

If someone want to make something that goes boom, it's very easy, you can't make a law that stops it.
At some point lazy politicians need to stop creating stupid laws.

So there can be no withholding power alongside with any kind of attempt to stop this? Yes... That's certainly going to improve the situation i can see this!
