General Gameplay Inclusion of more live feeder types

Well, we finally have fish-feeders, hooray.

However, I agree with what's said here. We need more bait animals and also the goats should be reworked.

More bait animals:
1. Swines
2. Cattle
3. Chickens

However, I think every bait animal should be available for every dinosaur. Put chickens in the Tyrannosaurus' paddock? It will simply ignore them. Put a steer in a Deinonychus' paddock? It will simply ignore it. It's that easy.

Large carnivores eat: goats, swines, cattle
Medium carnivores eat: goats, swines, chickens(?)
Small carnivores eat: goats, swines, chickens

Regarding reworking the goat:
As Tomme2000 already said in this thread, players should be able to choose whether the goat shall be able to roam free or be attached to the feeding station. It's just illogical it runs around, then just comes to a halt and ignores any predator approaching from behind.

Am I the only one who thinks chickens are too small to be added? However, I would absolutely love to see cows.

I feel as if a Deinonychus would absolutely attack a steer.

Cows and pigs are a great idea. I'd like to see chickens but, like Stutter said, I fear they would be too small in Frontier's eyes.

Given the Claire Dearing dlc, I would like a live bait feeder that releases some suitably small ornithomimid. Feeding these to the carnivores would work kind of like paleobotany, but instead of lifespan and star rating it increases lifespan and comfort (reducing the point at which storms etc. cause breakout attempts).

Owen fed his raptors small lizards and rats, those are even smaller than chickens, furthermore we have small carnivores like the Trodoon. Sure, chickens would be too small for most carnivores, yet they aren't too small imo as they're appropriate prey for some dinosaurs.

Possibly, I don't know, it was just an example that not all carnivores immediately go for all types of live bait.

We mean too small because Frontier has said they won't add certain dinosaurs that are too small like Dryosaurus and especially procompthagnathus. Live bait animals are included in the game with the same basic ai framework as the dinosaurs. I'm not worried about chickens not being enough for the dinos, only that as a live bait animal they are too small to meet Frontier's size requirements for all animals.

Ah, that makes sense. Huh, yeah, well. But honestly, chickens or no chickens, no great loss there when talking about additional live bait. Swines, cattle and goats and I'm happy as that provides way more variety than the current system of live bait. Or just give the goats randomly different fur colours, haha.

i dont see much point in adding chickens or pigs but cows on the other hand would be really nice. more expensive than goats but provides more food per payload.

something i have never thought till now, do different dinosaurs/goat provide different amount of food? Like will a rex's hunger bar go up higher if it eats from a hadrosaur as opposed to a smaller dinosaur like struthi? does eating from the meat feeder provide more food than the goat?

Why not? Wasn't a pig also part of Owen's raptors' menu in Jurassic World? I mean, that dude fell in their paddock in the movie due to a pig running loose? Furthermore, pigs offer a lot of flesh and have a suitable size. Large enough so that large predators have a proper meal and small enough that smaller carnivores can kill them. I also believe that they're not too small to implement into the game.

As far as I know, according to the description when selecting a live bait feeder, it says there that the live bait offers not as much meat as the meat feeder, but it grants the carnivores something like a hunting experience to enjoy.

I would argue that pigs are both a more plentiful and more satisfactory food source than goats, but the goat is a classic so here we are. I think a massive fatted sow would be a good middle ground between a billy goat and cattle.
