Incoming Enemies and INF

O7 Cmdrs

Something I've always wondered but never asked - does killing any/all mission-specific incoming enemies add positive influence?

Many thanks

Nope.

It's a big problem with mission wrinkles... they add credits, but not influence.

The only influence comes from the bounties you earn, when you hand them in (unless collected via IF)... so it is viable to deliberately take a bunch of missions to generate tails and go hang in the jurisdication you want to support in a combat ship to earn bounties for that faction. I find stacking Salvage missions to be good for this; with 10-20 under your belt, you have a 50/50 chance of getting a tail once you've collected the salvage. Because that's no more than 40-80 pieces of cargo, it's very easy to field a combat-ready shipand do these simultaneously.

Yeah I thought as much.

I do multi-purpose in a combat-capable Krait with fighter. Being combat level Dangerous I seem to be chased mainly by Condas and Pythons now. I stop now and then to take them on just to break up monotony (50+ poll data missions... ugh) but I get offered more in time bonuses than I get in bounties for these enemies. I just wondered if it was actually worth taking them all out, instead of just one or two when I felt like it.

also - poll data missions come with election, which anyway nullifies bounty redeems. but yes, might break up the monotony! good look to your election!

Courier poll data isnt the only mission you can do, btw. almost all missions count (I've won elections on assassinations before)

I know, but poll data is the quickest, especially in a system with multiple stations so you can stack to max missions allowed.
