Incoming message from Commander Kerrash

Cool. Personally would love to see the ring station, and an 'in-between' ship that can do a bit of low end cargo hauling :)

Agreed. A ship in between the Eagle and the Cobra would be really nice at about say 60-70K

I wonder why he's whispering in that video? Maybe he wasn't invited officially and he's hiding in David Braben's hotel bathroom.

Maybe he's hiding because he realises that that haircut is a bit on the severe side :p

What an all round nice guy :D

Absolutely. Kerrash is a star. Maybe we should put his name forward for a mention in the honours list. Arise Sir Kerrash :D

Hehe biting my finger nails in anticipation

Too painful to do that now since I've run out of fingernails waiting for more new content in premium beta ;)

There is a new trailer out for E3 from Frontier. Not sure its been posted here yet:

:)
Spectacular. I just wonder if that man running was maybe David himself hoping to catch a ride ;)

Kerrash, I'm dyin' over here with all The Witcher 3 stuff going on at E3 today! Sure wish I had someone who could score me some nice swag... ;)

Great stuff! I am so happy people get to experience and see for themselves how amazing this game is (and is going to be).

Far too many people seem to only know about No Man's Sky and Star Citizen.

I feel Elite Dangerous deserves a lot more awareness than it has at the moment. In a way, it's still cool if it became a "stealth" uber-success game taking everyone aback in shock & awe. But even better if it succeeded in gaining even more popularity. As long as Frontier are financially secure in their future development cycles for ED, I don't really care tbh :D

If it fulfils its promise on release it wont need too much marketing. Reviews and word of mouth will take over. Think DayZ. Its not a new IP either, which helps. A LOT of people remember Elite and Frontier.

So far the beta has blown me away. IT still 'feels' like Elite did. The magic is there.

True that! Though if you mention "Elite" to the young'uns, their face will look like a giant question mark. There is simply not enough games education of the young kids these days, no appreciation of the pioneers of the golden era.

Yes it has blown me away as well - in SPITE of the overwhelming bugs! That says a lot. Usually if a game has been this buggy, I wouldn't tolerate playing it more. But this game is so awesome that it's still keeps me coming back. It definitely captures a lot of the original Frontier vibe - and THEN some. The whole FSD experience, the shaking when moving too fast, the breaking of the canopy, the flight model, everything is just perfect.

Well tbh, i'm not that young (28) but before last year i had never heard about elite and it's sequels, even though i usually was interested in space and astronomy.
It's not about not appreciating what people have achieved in the past, it's just that in order for me to know about Elite, someone would have to mention it to me or talk about it. I guess that never happened because noone felt like talking about it.

So don't be disgruntled towards young people for not knowing things that you don't tell them about ;)

I don't think the message is coming across at E3. I know most of the sites like Giant Bomb, and Gamespot et al are heavily console centric, but there is literally no coverage at all of anything Elite Dangerous.

The word needs to be spread, even if it means nailing these so called games journos down and making them write "This game is bloody brilliant" one thousand times, or until they run out of ink, whichever comes first.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was only thirty games on show at E3 - so yeah, agreed. Looks like the escapist just went to every booth and told them that they are nominated

Star Citizen is nominated. Did Star Citizen even have a booth? I saw CR demo Arena Commander on Gamespot but I thought they weren't demonstrating on the floor.

Personally I think Kerrash is in a hotel somewhere in central London we seem to be getting a lot of footage of walls doors and windows.

Didn´t know where to post it, but i think this is right thread. Kerrash tweeted

It's cool to see how much the commodities market has changed in @EliteDangerous since we have been to #E3 I will have to learn it all again.
Cool. :) Can´t wait for PB2.
