"Incoming Missile" what do i do?

PD will engage missiles automatically, no need for you to do anything. I do believe you need hardpoints deployed for them to work though.

Well that's a problem then, because you won't be able to charge your jump drive while trying to shoot them down.

I was talking about shooting the missiles with your main guns though, if you don't have PD you could try that.

I'll try to remember to do that, albeit when I'm blasting away from my enemies at 320 with FAOFF, 1) turning around is going to be slow and 2) trying to aim at anything is going to be insanely difficult, even at a stationary target. FAOFF is pretty finicky.

I've realized from people saying that silent running is a counter that you can go silent running and ALSO fire off a heat sink. This is two birds with one stone: you don't need to worry about overheating at all, allowing you to boost away full speed for a long time, and it also turns off your own heat sig while giving the missiles something else to chase. I'm thinking this tactic is going to be my go-to next time I'm in such a situation.

In Incursion you can select the missile using "Select highest threat" binding and destroy the missile with the beam laser.

Well, i am also stuck in this scenario. Your ship has lower top speeds (/sigh), shields are gone in seconds... no missiles.. no countermeasuer.

My best was to get him to 32% but I didnt survived the 3rd missile which he seems to fire always at very close range. When his shields are down he simply outrun me get his shield up again and attempt a jousting tactic. (which works because his shields and weapons are stronger)

Well, I managed to win this scenario (your wingmen against a pirate I think) by constantly hiding behind an asteroid. My wingmen attacked him while he attempted to get a lock on me and finally crashed in the asteroid. <3 the AI.

Unfortunately the next scenario is similar worse. You have to fight again against an MK3 with better weapons and shields. I once fired 10s and more with everything I had constantly on the shields, just to remove 1 bar. Then he turned towards me and I lost my shields in 3 hits and the following missile gave me the rest.

Repeatedly attempting a scenario just to find a lucky situation against a superior opponent isnt fun for me. I will leave it this way, it simply produces more frustrating moments than happy ones. And this single happy one will not compensate all the others.

Im also having trouble with this scenario (Incursion), the railgun is ridiculously hard to aim with my joystick, but i can practice that.

But the Cobra is just... Wow... absolutly superior to what i have.

And no, i wont buy a 300€ joystick just to be able to aim that damn railgun from 2 km away at a target that is less than 5x5 pixels on my sceen...
