Horizons Incompatibility missions with vanilla

I have the opportunity to play only in the vanilla. And I ran into one problem. I have started a mission to return to the black box. It turned out that the black box is on the planet. Why do I even was able to take this mission? Why her mission was not written that it takes Horizons? OMG Frontier [mad]

Ummmnnn... I have never seen a block box mission on the planet. Possible I guess but these are normally scooped in orbit. The mission usually states that you need an SRV if it's planet side. Did you go and fly around the planet and see if the USS appears? It can take sometimes 10 to 15 minutes (rarely) so just fly an orbit around between 10 and 25 nm and it usually appears. If it is planet side you would see a targetable spot on the planet... But then you have the vanilla so maybe not.

If all else fails submit a bug report, they need to know about this if planetside missions are spawning in the vanilla version and cancel the mission. Canceling the mission is not the end of the world.

Nothing about the fact that you have to fly to the planet, it was not. In the description of the mission it has been written that can help scanner detector. I used it, and then my description, shows the location of the black box.

Of course I canceled the mission. What else could I do?

Rage quit and vow never to give FD your money again?

That's what I did after I spent an afternoon doing one of those missions where you have to hang about and then go and deliver "sometime" in the future. I eventually got my final delivery location and yep, you got it, it was on a planet.

Sounds like a pretty serious bug to mee. Planetary missions should not be spawning in the base game at all (or should at the very least not be selectable).

I would submit a bug about this to the devs quick as possible.

Those missions do not require Horizons. You do not need to land, you just need to be near the planet that shows in the mission description after you scanned the system (either by scanning the nav beacon or by using a discovery scanner). The signal source will be in space.

The black box salvage ops have always been in orbit for me (Horizons). The missions that are on the surface state in the requirements that an SRV is required (they are usually Skimmer or "destroy the generator" missions).

No need to quit the game. As said above, you need to go to the planet orbit and search for a mission critical signal source.
