Incorrectly tagged illicit cargo whilsr preparing for jump bug??? (FC release)

My second commander was running some ordinary missions for rep last night. In particular two of the runs he did were between Epsilon Eridani and Wolf 359, carrying (as far as I can tell) legal liquor (It seems the Sublime order of Van Maanen's star are trying to get the Fed Navy intoxicated. In particular, the cargo was Wine and Beer for the two runs respectivly.

Whilst prepping for the single hop jump between the systems, the "Illicit Cargo" warning was displayed in the Jump progress bar pop up.

The warning was not displayed on the cargo itself, or in the information panels at any other time in the flight, and the flight completed without issues (I was scanned on arrival without incident as well). As far as I know, the commodities should be legal throughout the entire flight.

Thoughts?
Yet another FC release bug? I do not see anything in the issue tracker.

similarly, when selling LTD to a carrier, the cargo remained on my ship as (STOLEN) until I undocked. If the carrier had an illegal cargo broker, I surely could have sold my cargo twice.

This has been in the game for many years. If any item of cargo you have onboard is illegal at any base/station/outpost in the destination system, it will warn you. Check the stations and outposts in the system map (including non-dockable ground and space installations) and you should find at least one where Beer or Wine is illegal.

Basically every installation has an area around it where the owning faction's law applies; ground bases it's approx. 350km radius, space bases 1000km. Everywhere else in the system is under the jurisdiction of the controlling faction. As you didn't actually enter any of those other jurisdictions during your flight your cargo wouldn't be tagged in the cargo panel or bottom-right of the HUD.

Thanks, I'll look it up in game when I finish my daytime job, and become intrepid space trader for the evening......

Some of the planetary bases are not fully listed in eddb.io, so I can't check some of them to review it during the day...

I think the release maybe has broken it - I'm collecting Thargoid Tissue Samples and being told that are Illicit (in the HUD), pretty sure they were legalised a while back.

Hmmmmm... Quickly reviewed journal from one of the occurrences (which shipped ordinary wine) and ealsoxamined the in-game system map for the destination system.

I examined the prohibited list on both orbitals and five ground installations and cannot find anyone banning Wine or Beer. The is a blanket ban on Bootleg liquor and one settlement bans tobacco, but otherwise fairly standard (most of the system, most of Wolf 359 is run by ( Hutton Orbital Truckers Cooperative).

I think that I examined all this is possible including a few FCs hanging around (none of which appeared to ban wine), I can't be sure that the FCs are all that wer therer when I was jumping in last night however.

Hmmmmmm......

"It wasnt mine officer, I dont know how it got there!!!! It was someone elses!!! Somebody else must have left it there, Really!!!!"

We've all herd the excuses... lol ;)

Well, I was trying to avoid that as wherever possible my commanders play it squeaky clean.

I suppose had it come to it (and for some reason they didn't shoot on sight), saying it was given to me by a group of very pleasant priests might have deteriorated the situation further... "Yes, of course sir!...... Did you pack these canisters yourself?"....

In any case, I was trying to make sure that I was not being silly and missing a clue that I should have picked up on.... The delivery mission was worded perfectly normally without any hint of illegality and with just the usual hostile forces may be sent warning...., and as I say the delivery went down without a hitch (including passing a scan approaching the delivery port)
