This is going to be essential for Planet Coaster 2, as they seem to have mostly left creating variety pieces down to the community. Anything outside of the base game themes needs to be created from dozens if not hundreds of different parts. While the first game upon launch already had a lot of usable scenery that were just 1 part each (ideal for quick builds and casual players), this game is relying on the community to make everything out of several things instead. For example, you could decorate a queue with its own fountain, using only 1 item.. This time you'll be using a fountain from the workshop which is made from several and you can apply that to almost everything you plan on placing in your park. This becomes a particular problem with anything rounded because of the amount of items you have to use to create them - becomes a much bigger problem if the majority of assets are going to be downloaded from the workshop as you'll quickly fly through a few thousand pieces just decorating a single coaster. I made a 2m racing flag to decorate my go kart track - couldn't get more simple than that, but each of those squares counts as a piece, 10 of those small racing flags quickly takes up over 100 pieces for what is effectively just a simple wall border. Its a massive waste on part count but its unavoidable if you actually want to decorate your park.
The focus on expanding custom creations is great, but its a huge oversight not realizing how quickly those creations would exceed those limits. Given the console editions are even more restricted by download limits and number of pieces in your park - I imagine it being even more problematic on there. You'll likely be forced to pick between a small detailed park, or a large park with no decoration.
