Increased screen door effect since 1.1

I have noticed an increased screen door effect I think caused by increased chromatic aberration since 1.1
I was in the beta and was jumping back into v1 and there was a definite difference.
Anyone else seeing this? Its a step back for me and I am using DSR 4, DSR 4 without SS was better imo
 
actually think i fixed this issue
I am only using my DK2 as my one and only display and was trying to get virtual desktop working by creating another virtual display in display settings and think it has done something to the main display, removed it and I think its back to how it was :)
 
Mine looked better than it ever did with the 1.1 update on tues and was really happy
but the sde is absolutely awful since Wednesdays 1.102 update I've tried everything to try and fix it but its still really bad
can't understand what they've done
 
Sometimes after updates graphical settings will reset. Go and make sure the oculus quality slider is still turned all the way up in your graphics settings. Moving that slider down at all makes the game nearly unplayable for me because you can't see or read anything.
 
Have tried everything going even completely resetting every graphics setting but still looked awful
think I'm gonna leave it a few days now as I think im just focusing on the sde now
 
If you have noticeable chromatic aberration, try adjusting the eye relief setting in the oculus config tool. It alters the amount of software correction being done for it, as well as the amount of barrel distortion. For me I have it at the fully in position even though my headset is fully extended and there's almost no aberration visible. Most likely it'll have to be different for everyone depending on how close your eyes are to the lenses.

I haven't noticed a difference in perceiving the screen door, but I have noticed that I can't see ships at a distance now. Used to be that I could see them as a pixel even when they were out of radar range. Now they disappear from visual as soon as they drop off the radar.

Stuttering approaching destinations is almost completely gone which is a big improvement, but I do occasionally get big pauses of up to 1 second which break my brain.

Set it fully out. Do the IPD then set the depth to what the program tells you is ideal, there is a little side view of the rift with the correct rotation values to use.
 
Actually after spending some time with this I really think there is an increased screen door effect from 1.1 onwards
No idea where it is coming from..
