Engineers Increasing rep with Palin

I've (finally) unlocked Palin after my 5000ly jaunt and a lot of time spent acquiring sensor fragments.

I have G5 FSD and G3 Thrusters already from Felicity Farseer. As a result, I can't apply any mods with Palin, as everything is already completed. Do I have to remove my thruster upgrade and re-apply it? I tried selling my explorer data, but I didn't have a lot, and it's only got me to Grade 2.

Any advice appreciated!

You will need to rank up with Palin from G1, so perhaps using a different module is best if you have another ship you want to upgrade.
You can also use "throwaway rolls" like rolling clean drives to rank up, so you can save mats for the dirtys, if necc.

Don't forget to pin the DD blueprint!

Can't you just buy some thrusters from Palin's outfitting and work on that to get your access level up to 5? - Pick mods with stuff you don't really need or have in abundance.

You can also take your current thrusters up to G5 clean or dirty - that would do it.

OK ty, I'll buy some cheap thrusters and get my rep up, then reinstall the engineered ones and continue on from there.
