General Gameplay Incubation Menu Dino Organising

Your Feature Request / Idea
What I'd like to see is better ways to organise the list of dinosaurs in the incubation menu.
So we already have quite a few dinosaurs, which is great of course. And we're likely getting more. But the menu for incubating new dinosaurs is already a little cluttered. There's a whole list of dinosaurs and it can be a bit of a slog to scroll through the list trying to find the dinosaur you want to incubate.

I think that it would be great having some options to sort dinosaurs by geological age, or size or perhaps by type (theropod, hadrosaur, sauropod etc.). Especially if more dinosaurs will eventually get added to the menu, it's bound to become a long list that's hard to find a single dinosaur in.

For example, lets say you want to make a big herbivore enclosure. Perhaps by toggling off all carnivores and hiding them, you could make a much easier selection of herbivores.

Totally agree with this, it's a much needed quality of life feature to have sorting tabs. My suggestion would be on things like Sauropods, theropods, hadrosaurs, ornithomimids etc , but at the very least between carnivores and herbivores, and hybrids should have their own special tab as well. This alone should help a lot, but the type sorting would be even better.

Totally agree with this, the problem is only going to get worse as they add more and more dinosaurs to the game.

I didn't think about hybrids, but yeah, those should probably have their own tab as well.

you could actually have little "tabs" at the top and switch between different roster views such as:

[ALL] - [SMALL HERBIVORES] - [LARGE HERBIVORES] - [SMALL CARNIVORES] - [LARGE CARNIVORES] - [FAVOURITES]

Or have custom groups that can name ourselves and assign whatever dinosaurs we wish to it.

Totally agree. I've already proposed some similar filters so we who dislike hybrids can hide them completely in order to not have such a messy, cluttered roster. But that could indeed be expanded (and desirable so) to add more searching functions like those.
