It has been a wonderful change seeing the new Mining Gold rush, with the Void opal hype just look at how much attention and love Mining has gotten! it is fantastic!
But there will come a time that this will end, it is only realistic that it does so, but with this in mind there is no reason why other activates should see a simular boost to increase attention. among all activates, perhaps the least paid per risk and time is Thargoid content.
This is where I suggest a little more of a specific 'gold rush' incentive. rather than just mining ice rings anywhere, players will need to visit an incursion system, where the following happens;
- All Thargoid Kills pay 5x more (this may sound a little crazy, but it would provide good incentive for people to rush these systems. as Scouts=50k, Cyclops=10M, Basilisk=30M, medusa=50M, Hydra=75M.)
-Station repair items get the 5x profit also!
-Meta Alloys also now sell for over 2M per piece at these damaged stations (after incursion state) as they are hard to farm now, it would just bring a nice trade aspect to the mix
- Rescue missions now provide 5x the credit reward during the Incursion rush.
-Ship rebuys in Incursion States are temporally halved (reducing player risk, just meaning more people are happy)
Without doubt, if such system was added we would see a massive boom from Transport, Combat and Trade players all benefiting at once in this state, and creating a lot more interest in this aspect if the game! and more importantly....
EVERYONE wins! I didn't just focus on combat for a reason, as there are other ways to help!
There will be some to argue the payouts being unbalanced (an please do, I appreciate seeing other views on the matter
) however the way I see it is, currently one can trade for almost 0% risk and make money for missions, 0% risk for fighting in CZ's with a fully engineered Corvette, 0% risk for mining void opals in ice rings... why can't an aspect of the game with risk pay more?
