Independent systems way outside of the bubble?

The following string of independent systems was found using the galaxy map, and they are out in the direction of the Pleiades Nebula. Notice that they are all named and all have populations of exactly 100,000. Eerie, huh? Any insights as to what these might be?

As 2 people have already said, I think these are the new Sirius outposts from the CG. The fact that they have small population and terraforming economies ( part of the CG I think) supports this theory.

Yep, these are planets needing terraforming so will be a good trading spot when planetary landing comes in or when they are going to build a station. 100,000 population is just a round figure as about that number is needed to keep all the machinery working, they probably have supply vessels coming and going but may not be implemented in game yet.

Interesting, nice find! I've been out to the Pleadies Nebula before but I don't remember any inhabited systems being out there. Of course I wasn't looking either, cause I didn't expect to find any. I may have to hop down there and have a look see....
