General / Off-Topic Indianapolis 500

Meanwhile over in the civilised lands the second greatest GP of all will be taking place in Monaco. This involves tackling a few more than just 2 bends and a car that will turn right as well as left.

But no one can overtake and the guy who gets pole position will probably win

If you want to see a race watch Motogp, if you want to see a real race with evenly matched machines watch Moto3

Bike racing is really exciting. A friend and I rode to Monza to watch WSB in the early 2000's, that was amazing to watch in person. The sound those things make is incredible but it's still better to watch on TV unless you're very lucky with the track and how much of it you can see.

GT racing is great to watch too, so is rallycross and touring car races can be fun too.

I would but I gotta watch my grass grow.

Really? I gotta cut mine down this week...

Sorta on topic...Im selling my beloved alfa romeo this weekend...cos Im saving up fer yet another alfa romeo haha Ill never learn but anyway...

Limited edition engine and suspension tuned by Ducati...only one of its kind in the whole of Ireland and one of only about a dozen or so still on UK roads. Original diamond cut finish one off design alloy wheels with brand new firestone road tyres...showing their age a little but not bent or dished, just need a refurb that costs minimum 600 notes...which I simply dont have so knock it off the asking price.

Paintjob is a custom one off paint that has to be ordered direct from Italy, almost immaculate any inspection welcome. Its best described as pearlescent black with a red metallic fleck that changes colours depending on what angle yer looking at it from. At the time, the paintjob was an added extra that cost almost 2k extra...and only one owner from new...me.

Bose and alpine mixed sound system...dual amps in the boot powers an 800w subwoofer, two 300w 6b9 speakers in the rear shelf, alpine tweeters molded into carbon fiber strips built into the roof and doors, very professional not original spec and 100% working. Old xbox 360 wired into a 12 inch screen on the dash, stored under the drivers seat and clipped down to stop movement.

A ¨device¨ hidden behind the front grill that jams the police speed cameras by sending a distorted image...they get a confused reading which makes identifying the vehicle impossible. Currently not road legal and must be removed every time ye need an MOT.

Another non road legal aftermarket add on are the HID lights...they were legal when installed but the law has changed since meaning they aint legal now...use at yer own discretion.

Last two years alone...new steering rack, two new turbos, two sets of tyres, new hydraulic clutch, new gas powered shocks all the way round which mean ye can lower or raise the car with the touch of a button. New driveshafts, new wheel bearings and new timing chain.

All reciepts kept, all work carried out by specialist alfa romeo garage just outside Belfast...delivered anywhere in UK or Ireland...within reason.

All good?
