Odd suggestion here. So one thing whose absence has kept on bothering me is that there are no indicator noises. I know the on-board computer says some stuff, does countdowns etc. but I believe making a little noise, like a text message ringtone, would add a very signature immersion to this game and it won't be as annoying over time as the on-board computer.
Very specifically, the first time I tried to enter supercruise it said I was 'mass locked' so I flew away waiting for the blue indicator box to become hollow and, for some reason, I expected a noise like the 'fasten seatbelt' beep you hear on planes but the silence was so disappointing. The HUD is relatively immersive but it still feels like a HUD and not a cockpit. I wish more things in the cockpit would beep and make noise and communicate with the player through sound (but without it being obnoxious - I'm not suggesting alarm sounds or melodies).
I think introducing the 'fasten seatbelt' airplane beep, or equivalent, to:
- Mass locked yes/no;
- Landing gear retracted;
- Cargo gear retracted; and
- Heat approaching 100/ 150/ 200 oC would be so awesome.
It's not necessary but it'd be so awesome.
