Dinosaurs Indominus rex and Indoraptor - antisocial or not?

Right, erm, I guess many won't like this mere thought, but I want to share it anyway.

Both the Indominus rex and the Indoraptor in-game are based upon the specimens in the movies. However, both were raised under very special conditions that influenced their life a lot.

The Indominus rex grew up in isolation in a way too small paddock without conspecifics, surrounded by tall concrete walls, far away from any other dinosaurs.
The Indoraptor grew up in isolation, probably not ever breathing fresh air until he broke out as an adult.

I believe their extreme aggression and also antisocial behaviour derive from the trauma of growing up in unworthy conditions of living.
The hybrids we are incubating in our Jurassic Worlds don't grow up under these horrific conditions (at least I hope so lol). So there is no reason why they should behave like their movie counterparts. Make them at least accept a sibling, for God's sake!

I think it would be more logical if the hybrids behaved similar like all the other large carnivores. Or make it that the player can switch between "movie version" and " "realistic" version".

Your thoughts?

At least the Indoraptor was made to be extra aggressive. So I don't think it makes much sense for it to be social.
Aggression doesn't necessarily mean one does not even tolerate one's own conspecifics. This entire concept of the Indoraptor being a weapon is idiotic, but it'd be very useless if you couldn't place two Indoraptors in combat because they'd kill each other instead of working together.

Understandable, but I think they have done that with the secrets of Dr.Wu DLC.

With the base game, the indominus rex and indoraptor are designed to be the most difficult dinosaurs to take care of due to their extremely low comfort threshold of 85% for indoraptor and 90% for the indominus rex and their potency as some of the most customizable creatures, even by default the indominus rex has the highest attack stat at 116 and the indoraptor has the highest defense stat of all carnivores at 45. They were made to represent the savage genetic monstrosities the indoraptor and indominus rex are depicted in the movies.

Secrets of Dr.Wu add to the genetic gameplay of JWE and this in turn allows players to customize the dinosaurs as they wish with new social, population, habitat, comfort, and camouflage gene that is exclusive to the indominus rex. So in turn the hybrids could be made into more docile creatures with the comfort threshold genes and make them live with other of their own kind peacefully with the social genes. They are still hybrids but at least they could be designed as a more docile and comparable to the other large carnivores in the game, as opposed to the large creatures designed to be the most advanced predator as a tourist attraction which then lead to the weaponized prototype in the fallen kingdom movie.

Well, I guess you have a valid point regarding the DLC.

I think the Secrets of Dr.Wu DLC is probably one of my favorites because of this. It adds some added genetic gameplay that were otherwise not possible in the base game, but I feel like it has merged with the gameplay so much that we forget it is part of DLC.

Have you ever tried a Yin and Yang indominus rex pair? I find it cool that I could put in base/alpine indominus with a coastal indominus and have the two live together in the same exhibit. I find it poetic as they are two of the most powerful creatures in the game but they never fought each other for one can not live without the other, but are ready to cause destruction if an indominus rex is added or removed from the equation. Chaos balanced.

No, I haven't because I neither unlocked the Coastal skin (I'm just not interested in skins because mainly I like the basic ones the most), nor do I own any content besides the base game and free updates. Maybe in the future I'll buy one of the already existing or upcoming DLC (if one might contain more feeding variety for carnivores). But I put a white Indominus and a Savannah skin Indominus on Nublar (turned social requirements off) in one paddock and it's nice to see both getting along. :) I also have two Indoraptors, but both have the basic skin because all the other ones are looking bad imo.

I am thankful for the new sandbox settings, that helped expand the gameplay of JWE 10x over with the new mode to boot as well. Also I treat the indoraptors like weaponized dinosaur power rangers, their skins are meh by themselves, but look cool when in a team.

So far yeah, there has not been a carnivore focused DLC yet, I would love to see one with new feeders and mechanics, but I think that may be an update more than a DLC. RIght now there might be some interesting details for the new RTJP DLC that was recently announced. I heard there may be new escape mechanics in the game, so maybe there may be some new added feature for the carnivores. I have my fingers crossed that we might hear of a cow feeder as the cow was one of the mor enotable feeding options in the original Jurassic Park. We have to wait and see, so every tuesday will be a tease of what's to come until December 10th.

Of all the current DLC, I think you might like the secrets of Dr.Wu the most. It has an expanded genetics gameplay that helps add to creativity when making new dinosaurs. My favorite is that I could finally make my baryonyx beach with 5 of them in challenge mode thanks to the genes. The other packs are dinosaur packs if you like something specific, maybe the carnivore pack as it adds to the overall carnivore count. Claire's sanctuary is an odd one, not bad, it is just a different way to play from my book, but I do enjoy the large maps, 2 JPOG veterans, and the paleobotany mechanic which makes raising herbivores more interesting.

Like my post:

I think that all dinos with the raptor genes should be able to have a social gene that would cause them to socialize as if they were raptors. And thus socialize with other creatures that think they are raptors.
Indominus Rex (who the movie shows, despite being raised in solitary isolation, was social with raptors), and the Indoraptors.

Well, not entirely true as it was already dead ( :( ) when the Indoraptor hatched, but yes, the movie clearly stated it was capable of not just communicating, but socialising with Velociraptors. I honestly don't understand how this isn't part of the game yet.

I currently have the Indoraptors with the +3 social limit gene, that way I can have four of them together, and they live in the pen with the sauropods. I'm sure that they want to eat the sauropods, but they can't, because they're too tiny.
