Indoor coaster.. dark

I was trying to make something like a "space mountain" from disneyworld but alass.. when the coaster was indoors and complete, it wasn't dark at all..
any tips?

Walls/roofs etc dont block light, the only thing that does it terrain so you need to build up the terrain then cover the terrain with the wall pieces if you want it to look like something for it to work
