A few weeks ago, there was a CG where the Feds wanted to built a new Farragut. It was popular, mostly with people who wanted to stop it because it was warmongering, building a battle cruiser off the back of common folk. Well, true or not, it created a lot of noise and protest in the forums.

Yesterday, a CG started where the Imps are doing the same to build a Majestic.

I am deafened by the noise from that tumbleweed.

Well, it seems to indicate to me, that it is expected behaviour for the imperials.
And it isn't when it comes to federation, and if you ask me, it is because a lot of people believe that the federation is similar to the federation of star trek and such....which it is not, the federation is based around big corporations...not 'the common folk' , so yeah, lotsa people that don't read up on the lore if you ask me.

Given how I spent last night sleeping, I didn't even know of this CG until you posted. Thanks for the update, gotta get them materials flowing. For the glory of the Terran Empi.. I mean.. dammit, wrong franchise!

I didn't help with the Farragut, I won't help with the Majestic Class. Won't hear a lot of noise from me, I'm just throwing tumbleweed through random threads.

You could help the independent CG running in response to both powers building up arms:

As the galactic superpowers seem to be ramping up their respective militaries, others are looking to bolster their defences. Chancellor Zahra Arias of the Sovereign Justice Collective has announced plans to upgrade the infrastructure and defensive viability of Greeboski’s Outpost in the Phiagre system. In a statement, Chancellor Arias said:

“Greeboski’s Outpost is a bastion for the people of Phiagre and a monument to our independence, and I consider it my duty to upgrade the starport’s services. I have therefore placed an open order for titanium so we can begin the improvement programme.”

I think they are as bad as each other tbh, and it was just a comment on how people see things... so yeah... you are right.

More like the Federation from Blake's 7 than from Star Trek...
Though the Empire is definitely from Star Wars
As to the Alliance... well tbh I thik they need to define themselves first. They do seem rather good at the little known art of sitting on the fence.

I think that needs some rep... they are indeed all warmongers.

Already there, not done much though. Still a bit spent from the last CG, teabagging 2 nights through. Also, I had to make a badge :)

Ah, priorities indeed CMDR :) Since I'm at work I checked where that Majestic CG is from where I am. Funnily enough I have to ask myself do I want to stop running my trade route for less profit just to help build a ship I probably never see, or not xD If it had a bounty hunting one attached to it, it would be an easier choice. Could just take my Courier and forgo all the docking chaos and have a blast making some money.

Would be interesting to hear the reasons for that wouldn't it?

For me three reasons:

1. The Feds are all over prohibition. No one tells me what I can and can't do to my own body.

2. I really hated the Fed security services treatment of Pilot Federation CMDRs when I first flew out way back. Empire space felt more welcoming in comparison.

3. And of course, the 3 Cs: Courier Clipper Cutter (although I do have Corvette-envy! But ranking with the Feds? That'd be like voting for Trump!)
