News Inflated Mission Rewards - Fix on the way and important information

Greetings Commanders,

As mentioned in yesterday’s post about inflated mission rewards, the team are working hard to resolve an issue where some missions are paying out exorbitant amounts. For now disconnections will still happen if you accept missions with a reward of over 30 million credits. We appreciate your patience while we work on a fix.

In addition, we have seen there’s an increased payout with missions in general, we’re still investigating this. We don’t want to discourage people from playing the game and taking part in missions, but we would like to remind you to be mindful and considerate when undertaking this activity. We will be reviewing mission reward gains after the fix has gone live, in order to re-balance any significant unfair advantages gained by Commanders who may have deliberately gamed the system.

You will be contacted individually in game if this affects your account. We don't expect it to be a huge number of you.

Thanks!

Having increased mission payouts in general I don't think is a bad thing as long as they are not game breaking like the ones for trillions of credits.

I hope the missions get fixed soon but review the slightly higher mission payout overall. I know some thing's in past were unintended bugs and managed to make to the live version like the FSD boosts from neutron stars.

I hope you're also aware that the bug also goes the other way. Passenger transports from the bubble to Colonia pays between 400-800k. That barely covers the integrity repair bill on an Asp. :)

I know there was taken an action against people who cheated with RNG modules.
What action will be taken then against a people who will do what i wrote on reddit?

Its common knowledge, i not invented it and not wrote a game. Do not blame me. As far i know many people did below.

.. and i not did it, and have proofs on my account state from previous date on videos and screens.

As far i know there are no logs with current state of ships and modules, i asked few times for rollback sold modules and that answer i got. So above should not be detectable. I have hope i am wrong :D

Where can I find these 500mil credit missions? ;)
Seriously would like to see some missions worth taking for some Fed rank. I want a Vette lol

Would someone fluent in male bovine excrement speak please decode this into english. Faced with the option of taking a mission (less than 30M I guess) how do you judge whether you are being sufficiently mindful and considerate, for example.

Not really relevant for missions less than 30M. It just means you should exercise self-restraint and not try to take missions with absurd pay-outs.

It could, of course, apply to missions less than 30M... so if you see, say, a passenger transport mission paying 19M for a 5LY trip, not involving a paranoid, demanding mafia boss, then use your discretion.

The problem as I see it, is that it is not my discretion that matters. When does x M cr for y LY become acceptable to them.

File a ticket with customer support regarding this issue. We can't assist with that issue/bug you've reported/experienced on reddit and linked to the forum. Thanks.

As a relative newbie just checking that my 5 mil passenger mission was not an exploit - it got me up enough to get my 6a shields on the python. It was quite a dander to the station.

I've seen up to 20M (at least I think I have, certainly 10M) before 2.4 so 5 is fine.

Sorry, language quibble.

Clearly those screenshots of trillion $ payouts for banal missions was a bug.

Without finesse, that statement, like the guy who just asked above about his passenger mission...makes me wonder if these higher paying missions (like 18mil for a long in-system travel passenger) fall into the category of this update.

Thanks for being so on top of things. As we can see from the BGS video made awhile back, there's a lot of moving pieces in this universe!
