Influence System Not Working?

I am convinced influence and reputation system does not work. At least for my profile. I have done so many missions for the Jera Social Democrats and not received a single increase in rank nor has their percentage of influence in the system changed. Nor anyone elses.

I've actually had to stop playing a couple of days out of sheer boredom of repeating the same tasks again and again... :(

Could it be an issue with my game?

It seems to work, I've done enough for the Alioth Independents to get my Alioth permit. One commander's help won't change their system influence much though, I think that that's more of a large player-base thing.

Yeah this seems to be broken in Sorbago, the other 'event' system at the moment too. FD are infuratingly silent on the issue.

I honestly did consider that, but you'd think surely all these combat kills and courier runs and they might consider me a little higher than 'neutral'.

Also the recent newsletter implied there were a lot of players here working. I'd imagine even the NPCs by now we'd see some small percentage changes?

It seems to be frozen for all systems I've visited, not just the event ones. At least for 3 days now, probably more.

EDIT: To clarify because the OP is talking about both influence and reputation: I was talking only about influence, reputation is working as it always as for me (not sure if that is good or bad). I actually just become allied with another independent system tonight.

Can you please give me a rough estimate of how many missions for that specific faction it took to gain that amount of reputation? Even a very rough estimate?

Have you tried any direct rep missions? (I.e. The 'donate' ones that give you no cash reward but seem to give extra rep - or so it appears to me)

It look like doing rep mission in the same system is not working. You have to get rep in other system whit the same faction.

Also take in consideration if you do mission for an other faction it have an effect to the others .

Just killed 8 Jera Nationalists war targets as part of a mission FOR the Jera Social Democrats, received negative reputation.... that also included killing a wanted Jera Nationalist who interdicted me on the way home...

I have done many, yes. In fact I'm actually doing another 2 now. Most have required 3-4 jumps out of Jera also.

Update: managed to secure 'friendly'. I've honestly lost track of how many missions I did but perhaps there is some sort of decay or my patience was just lower than necessary. Who knows.

So I suppose the issue now, as others seem to have recognised also, is influence appears to be a little 'off'.
