INFORMATION FOR PLAYER - Faction Relations

100+ hours in, and paying attention to voices arguing about the feeling of a lack of progression.

Further information on the relations between the various in-system factions and how this relates to the player would be handy.

We have the influence in-system tab giving percentages and our own relationship status (neutral / allied, increasing / decreasing), but a single sentence description of where you're at with a given faction and what you can expect from them would go a long way to giving the player a feeling of a relationship with the NPC's based on something other than server maths. Is the faction I've been working on the verge of overthrowing another? Is a faction I've been killing the authority ships of desperately recruiting new pilots? Are a starving factions population dying in droves or ready to rise up and kick their masters out? Doesn't have to have any game-world implications outside of the current mechanisms, just give the player something to invest in outside of the descriptions in the bulletin-board missions in stations.

I'd think this would most sensibly be a galaxy / system map addition. Also allows a ton of scope for personalising these descriptions based on the nature of the faction.

Also, I can't decide if the faction mission triggers are extremely binary (meaning, at the point of becoming 'allied' mission type / availability / risk + reward goes up, and not for the X number of steps before), but IF so please add more 'steps' to the ladder and more increments to the mission data. If this already happens, it would be good to create similar steps to make it known that a player is progressing (or not) with a faction if nothing else.

Probably already suggested ad-nauseum, but felt I should add my voice.
