Infrastructure Failure and settlement markets

So I'm selling commodities into the market of a settlement whose owner is in Infrastructure Failure. (This is one of the settlements that hasn't been abandoned or evacuated.)

It differs from station markets in that they're still selling commodities there; also a wide variety of normal goods are in demand. Like other markets in IF there are high prices and demand for goods to combat the state; it's just that the rest of the market is functioning normally.

Anyway this is a useful way to fight an Infrastructure Failure for factions (like this one) that don't own any other assets in a system. I'm not sure if the seminormal market is a bug or a feature.

You know, the goods for sale seem to have been reduced since my first visit, unless I just wasn't as observant the first time.

Infrastructure Failure for normal stations has been changed to do approximately that since 3.7ish - it's a key component of most high-value bulk trading, because it significantly reduces both import and export prices of almost all goods (and also quantities)

Oh, that's good news. We had to work against a large number of IFs last year, and into early this year, but not since the Odyssey Alpha.

I posted about this earlier in another thread, but I think it's worth mentioning here that the settlement where I was selling commodities during an Infrastructure Failure was in fact powered down - meaning that these sales can be used to combat that state even though the settlement isn't active. This is especially useful when the faction has no stations, outposts, or bases.

I've been able to sell into its market, as well as take and redeem ship missions:
