Ingame mysteries/events like Adamastor - are there more?

I'm playing ED regulary with a friend and what we like most is to solve the in-game mysteries together. E.g. we liked the Adamastor event quite a lot.

Can anyone provide some information or a list about other events that contain some kind of puzzles? I'm not speaking about something like Raxxla, it should be a bit more concrete. And it doesn't have to be as flashed out as the Adamastor event, but perhaps some beacons with puzzles that lead to some other places/mysteries... Thanks!

Btw, are the recent Hesperus news something like Adamastor, or no concrete hints available yet that you could follow?

Hesperus: no-one appears to have found any more of a lead than what's in the Galnet news, though that doesn't mean there isn't something out there hidden in plain sight where no-one looks much (local news articles, log data points on megaships or installations, listening posts, etc.)

Other mysteries: there are plenty of listening posts and unregistered comms beacons out there pointing to various interesting things, the various bits of Thargoid technology form a mystery to be solved, as do the various Guardian ruins. (They've already been solved, of course, but so long as you don't look things up you can solve them again yourself)

Thanks! Any hint how to find these listening posts and comms beacons? Are there any ingame hints where to look or do you just have to fly around randomly and use the FSS?

Generally that. There are quite a lot of them, but it's a big galaxy, so...

(With an entire player-base searching, anything sufficiently visible newly added to a populated system will be found by someone within a couple of weeks at most ... picking them up as an individual requires rather more luck!)

Ok, thanks. Really liked something more steered like the Adamastor with some ingame story and hints around it. They should do more of these.

And also kind of unfortunate that they never used the "rumour" section in the codex. I had high hopes for that and if utilised right, that could really add some more depth, lore and additional motivation for exploration to the game.

Pretty sure there is something hidden in plain sight.

Translate the morse code at bottom left of the picture. This was posted only a few days before Hesperus was mentioned on Galnet. Seems like a bit of a hint to me.

May I jump in and ask how they work? While rescuing people in Sol, I went to check on an unregistred comms beacon orbiting the Moon but couldn't scan it or anything. I didn't know if there was a way to interact with it or not ?

"Listening Posts" you generally scan them (like a tourist beacon) and get a text message.
"Unregistered Comms Beacons" give an audio message - might be morse code, or phonetic alphabet - which is transmitted either on the hour or more rarely at :15, :30 or :45 minutes past the hour - and are silent otherwise. So you have to wait, listen to and transcribe that to get started.

If you want to check out the listening posts found so far, you can see the list in the spoiler below:

Slightly related, there are lots of planetary abandoned bases and other surface sites, most of them reveal their backstory if you scan the data beacons. Most of these sites are quite moody, I love wandering around them in the SRV collecting the surface mats while listening to the backstories. The list of known ones are in the spoiler below:

You can filter all of these by proximity by going into EDDB, attractions page and filtering with "group = abandoned base".
