Following the events of the last seven days, we are faced with a rare situation. As Imperial Citizens, we all desire a pure and prosperous Senate and we have been presented with a special opportunity to effect that, but we must act rationally and responsibly. The so-called Lords of Restoration may be exposed, but the scent of blood is not a cue to crave it as a wild beast would.
Firstly, we must discover everything we can, both from the accused Senators and from their supporting Patrons. Full co-operation with any investigation effort is expected of such Patrons, that they retain at least some honour appropriate for a position within Imperial society after having backed a traitor. We expect that some will be found guilty as co-conspirators, with others merely negligent in their duty to warrant the Senators they support.
Beyond that, our lawful and civilised path to justice may not be immediate, but it exists. Senators are not subject to legal proceedings, so such could only occur if the Senators concerned either:
Submission or resignation are both unlikely actions unless acquittal is expected. Therefore, INIV encourages all Imperial Citizens to transfer support away from any Senator they would see stand trial, should respective Clients fail to do so on their behalf. Upon replacement, those former Senators will then be subject to Imperial law and may be tried for treason forthwith.
Trial is important even if guilt is all but assured, that the complete and unperturbed truth is presented before each of us, without which the matter will see no appropriate justice nor closure. We advocate and expect the following actions:
This is, of course, merely the process available as provided by Imperial law. It may be upheld, modified or replaced entirely by Royal command, should our Empress deem such appropriate. Despite the irregularity in determining the means by which justice is achieved for oneself, please consider that the Empress is both the bearer of that prerogative and, should the positions of the accused remain unchallenged, the only person able to deliver justice at all.
The potential liability of Darkwater Inc has yet to be evaluated, and may even be limited to the actions of just one person. To an large extent, contractual work for sitting Senators does not impose responsibility for its consequences, due to which many will demand greater transparency of senatorial budgets as a means of prevention. This must be balanced carefully against the need to operate with secrecy, a matter on which we suggest respect for the wisdom of Senator Patreus.
We hope that this conclusion and the events of 3307 both serve as a reminder that Imperial sovereignty will not be taken from us so readily, that we are united to protect each other as families and neighbours, and that there exist no stronger forms of belief in the Galaxy than ours for our Empress and hers for each of us. We salute you, Arissa.

Beyond that, our lawful and civilised path to justice may not be immediate, but it exists. Senators are not subject to legal proceedings, so such could only occur if the Senators concerned either:
- Submit to Imperial law voluntarily.
- Retire the senatorial post.
- Be removed via senatorial petition from a Patron.

- For supporting Patrons guilty of accessory to treason, execution.
- For supporting Patrons upon acquittal of accessory to treason, removal.
